Gym Courts & Indoor Track

HRCA has three gyms with a total of 5 courts, so come out and play! Each recreation center also has an indoor running/walking track; so, don't let the weather get in the way of your walk or jog.

**Westridge has an Indoor Turf

Pickleball courts are typically set up in the Northridge and Southridge gyms.

The gym is reserved for sport specific recreational play designed for individual participation and enjoyment. Individuals organize themselves into teams and compete against each other in a courteous, fun, sportsmanship like manner. An example of this is a game of pick-up basketball, soccer, etc. All interested participants must be included. Requires all participants to be physically able to participate on an even basis with the group in play. Adult drop-in requires all participants to be at least 18 years old.

Complete court rules are posted at the equipment desks at all facilities.

Prohibited:

  • Team practice or instruction from non-HRCA related coaches
  • Dunking or hanging on rims/nets
  • Fighting

Various sports equipment can be checked out at the equipment desk with a membership card (i.e. basketball, volleyball, etc.) Membership cards are kept on file to ensure equipment is returned in the same condition as it was received.

Number of times around the track to equal 1 mile:

  • Eastridge – 13 laps
  • Northridge – 18 laps
  • Southridge – 10 laps
  • Westridge – 10 laps

  • The Track is available to all Members 13 years of age and older. Horseplay is strictly forbidden. To maintain safety and reduce the risk of injury, members 12 years of age and younger must be directly accompanied and supervised by an adult. All posted rules must be followed. 
  • Individual walkers must walk single file on the inside lanes allowing adequate room for others to pass on the outside lanes. Walkers should position themselves on the inside lanes and joggers/runners on the outside two lanes. Joggers have the right-of-way. 
  • Please use caution when entering or exiting the track. 
  • The track is not a viewing or spectator area for the gymnasium. 
  • Running direction is patterned to help reduce leg stress associated with running tight turns. 
  • Please do not spit on floors, walls, or in the water fountains. 
  • Strollers are not permitted on the running track. 
  • Appropriate gym attire, shirts and shoes are required.
Westridge

Indoor Turf

No worries about Colorado's ever-changing weather, because the HRCA offers a state-of-the-art indoor sports field. Check out the open turf time schedule or rent the field for a team practice. 

  • Shoes: must be worn at all times, no exceptions.
  • Cleats: plastic or rubber allowed, metal or steel prohibited, no exceptions
  • Field Surface: no spitting or food or drink

Come in out of the cold! Open turf time is available for for unorganized play. Individuals may play with a soccer ball, football, frisbee, etc. Individuals must play amongst themselves, with family members, or a limited number of friends. No team practices. 

Does your team need a place to practice? The indoor turf at the Recreation Center at Westridge is available for rent.

Northridge, Southridge, Westridge

Pickleball Courts

Indoor pickleball courts are set-up in the Northridge and Southridge gyms weekly, and there are six outdoor pickleball courts at Westridge. 

Court Hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 5 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Equipment is available to check out at the Westridge Fitness desk.

Pickleball courts are open weather and conditions permitting. They are not cleared of snow.

  • Court 5 is designated for the Head Pickleball Professional and can only be reserved 24 hours in advance. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. 
  • Members can make reservations (maximum of 1 court per day, per household for up to 2 hours) 48 hours in advance online, in person, or by calling: 720-348-8202. 
  • There is no court fee to reserve outdoor pickleball courts at Westridge Recreation Center.
  • Changes will only be allowed to Pickleball Reservations up to 30 minutes before the reservation start time.
  • The reserved court may be held for 15 minutes past the scheduled time, after that the court will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you aren't going to use it, please call the Westridge Access Desk at 720-348-8202 to cancel a pickleball court reservation. 
  • Courts 1- 4 are available for drop-in play and reservations are not required during drop-in hours:
    • Monday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 4 – 5:30 p.m.
    • Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Thursday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 4 – 6 p.m.
    • Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Sunday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Northridge

Racketball Courts

The Recreation Center at Northridge has ten championship indoor glass back-wall racquetball courts. HRCA is the premier place for racquetball in the south-metro area. We have been host to numerous National and State tournaments. Come play where the champions play!

Members can make a court reservation 48 hours in advance online or in person or by calling 303-471-8950. Reservations may be held for 15 minutes past the scheduled time; after that, the court will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Ping Pong Table: can only be reserved on Court #7

  • Racquetball court reservations may be made two days or 48 hours in advance online, by phone or in person.
  • Only one, two-hour reservation may be made at a time.
  • Only HRCA Members may make court reservations.
  • When making reservations, residents will need to provide name and telephone number.
  • Racquetball participants will have priority for court use over any other users except for HRCA sanctioned activities.
  • Courts #6 and #7 are multi-purpose courts and may be used for other activities that will not damage the courts or walls. Teams and related coaches are prohibited.
  • It is strongly advised that all players wear protective eye gear.
  • Court reservations will be held for 15 minutes past the scheduled time and then relinquished to members on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Racquetball challenge court rules are available at the Northridge Equipment Desk.
  • Racquets, balls and protective eye wear are available for checkout at the Northridge equipment desk.
  • Walleyball/ Table Tennis equipment is available for check-out at the Northridge equipment desk.

Eastridge

Sand Volleyball Courts

Get out of the gym and into the sand! Sand volleyball offers challenges and techniques that are different than indoor volleyball. Eastridge has two outdoor sand volleyball courts that are open and accessible to the HRCA members and their guests weather permitting.

Drop-in: courts are free to use without a reservation, but must yield to a reservation

Reservations: HRCA members can reserve courts if there is no scheduled HRCA activity, program, or event. HRCA reserves the right to schedule programs and activities which may take priority over any court reservations.

Access: All HRCA members and their guests must access the sand volleyball courts through the designated entry points, whether that be through the front doors of the main Eastridge facility or through the Crestridge building during the summer pool hours. Jumping the fence onto HRCA property is not permitted.

Northridge outdoor tennis courts may be closed due to weather or ice on the courts. This determination will be made daily on a court-by-court basis. Please call the Tennis Monitor Desk at 303-471-8996 for the latest information on outdoor court status.
 

When the weather is questionable, call 303-471-7020 for the status of the outdoor courts at Southridge.

Members can make reservations (maximum of two-hour court time) for Northridge and Southridge courts 48 hours in advance online, in person, or by calling; Northridge 303-471-8996; Southridge 303-471-7020. Drop-ins are welcome if a court is available. 

Reminder: Reserved court may be held for 15 minutes past the scheduled time, after that the court will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you aren't going to use it, please call the Tennis Monitor Desk at 303-471-8996 to cancel an outdoor court reservation.

All guests must be accompanied by an HRCA member. Guests will not be allowed on a regularly reserved tennis court without a member present. 

Summer Block Time Applications will be accepted beginning May 11, 2025.

Fall/Winter Block Time Applications will be accepted beginning May 11, 2025 at 6 a.m.

The Tennis Pavilion at Northridge indoor court fees are:

  • May 1 - August 31: $10 per hour
  • September 1 - April 30: $36 per hour

Court fees must be paid at time of reservation. 

Anyone canceling an indoor court less than 12 hours in advance will be charged the full cost of the reservation.

All court cancellation refunds will be added to account credit

Available at Northridge for 60, 90, or 120 minute increments. Call 303-471-8996 for rates and reservations.

  • Online, only one, 2-hour reservation may be made at a time. When phoning in for reservations,  a max of 2 courts can be booked for a max of 2 hours. 
  • Only HRCA Members may make court reservations.
  • When making reservations you need to provide your name and telephone number.
  • Appropriate court shoes with non-marking soles must be worn on the court.
  • No children in playpens, car seats, or strollers are allowed on the court.
  • Guests: HRCA members may bring guests to play tennis. The HRCA guest policy shall be followed. (i.e. a guest must be accompanied by a member in good standing and have a valid guest pass to enter the recreation facilities.)
  • All Outdoor Courts are available for members at no cost. Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person.
