Camp Backcountry

Camp Backcountry is where your kid comes to explore our local wild place—the Backcountry Wilderness Area. This 8,200-acre conservation property offers unparalleled opportunities to discover nature, get dirty, play in the woods, and experience uninterrupted time in the outdoors—rooted in environmental education and scientific discovery.

Summer Camp

Camp HRCA

Camp HRCA is a fun-filled, exciting summer camp with weekly themes. Campers will build friendships through memorable hands on experiences. Our nurturing and trained staff encourage personal growth within each child. Our camp is divided into age groups to aid in age appropriate planning. All camps offer a safe environment overseen by Colorado State Licensing.

Dates:

June 2-August 15 (closed July 4)

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Children can be dropped off or picked up any time during these hours except for those children on field trips.
Children on field trips must be at the facility from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on field trip days.

Avs* (ages 6-8)	$360/week	$420/week

Westridge

Wildcats* (ages 6-8)	$360/week	$420/week

*These groups will go on two field trips per week on Tuesday and Thursday, subject to bus availability

Refunds

We will not provide refunds or transfers after these dates:

June refund requests must be made by May 1
July/August refund requests must be made by June 1

Paperwork

A link for the required paperwork will be emailed to families around May 1st. Paperwork must be completed for the child to attend on the first day.
