Everything You Need, Right Here

Amenities

The HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area has three archery ranges; the two newest archery ranges at the Backcountry Outdoor Center; the 3-D Archery Range, Sight In Range, and the original Wildcat Mountain Archery Range.

The Batting Cages at Westridge offer a fun experience for all ages, with five baseball and four softball stalls ranging from 30-80 mph. Open from March to October, they feature home-run target banners for a realistic batting experience. Kids ages 2-7 can enjoy the Tiny Tees Ballpark, a mini-field complete with a homerun fence and bases. Batting helmets and equipment are provided, and tokens or season passes are available. Private hitting lessons for ages 6-14 are also offered, along with customizable party packages for special events.

The HRCA's two climbing walls cater to the most daring. The aqua climbing wall at Northridge challenges participants to get to the top before falling back into the pool. The 30-foot high traditional climbing wall, located in the Eastridge Rec Center, offers a place for beginners to learn top rope climbing and boulder skills, and with a variety of routes to challenge all, advanced climbers can keep their skills polished.

Indoor golf? The golf simulators at the Northridge and Southridge Recreation Centers allow residents and guests the opportunity to play some of their favorite courses indoors. The multi-sport simulator at Southridge also includes football, soccer, baseball, hockey, lacrosse, basketball, rugby, cricket, dodgeball, bocce, and carnival games.

All of HRCA's recreation centers have indoor, outdoor, and lap pools that are supervised constantly by lifeguards and are impeccably clean with crystal blue water.

The HRCA has a variety of sports courts available for your recreation and sporting needs. There are courts for racquetball, pickleball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, football, and running tracks.

Each of HRCA’s four recreation centers features unique fitness studios—vibrant spaces designed to help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals in a supportive and motivating environment. A wide variety of classes are offered, including yoga, Pilates, cycling, dance, strength training, interval training, and The Zone classes, which focus on high-intensity interval training (HIIT). HRCA’s fitness classes are thoughtfully designed to cater to all ages and fitness levels, ensuring there's something for everyone.

With HRCA's large variety and quality of cardio and strength training equipment, you’re bound to open up your workout to more diversity at any of the four recreation centers.

The HRCA has rooms available for meetings, weddings, receptions, baby showers, birthday parties, special events, and your other reservation needs. Additionally, the sand volleyball courts at Eastridge and indoor turf at Westridge are available for rent.

Our fun two-hour pool parties include structured pool time with the party host during the first 1.5 hours and then we continue the celebration in the party room for the final half hour.

The Wildcat Mountain Auditorium at the Recreation Center at Southridge is a great venue for private events. The space features a stage, commercial kitchen, patio, projector with screen, and state-of-the-art sound system. Tables and chair rentals are available.  The auditorium can accommodate up to 270 attendees in informal, intimate or formal settings.

Recreation Center Access

Membership Cards

After residents purchase a home in Highlands Ranch, the title company will send homeowner information to the HRCA administrative office (this usually takes two to three weeks). New residents must then come into one of the recreation centers to complete a Member Information Form, get their picture(s) taken, and purchase a membership card for $8.00.

Household members over the age of 21, not listed on the warranty deed, are required to present proof of residence reflecting the current household address. The Highlands Ranch Community Association needs one of the following types of proof of residence (in conjunction with a photo ID). Acceptable documents include:

  • Driver's License (stickers on the back of your driver's license are not accepted)
  • Utility Bill: Gas, Electric, Water, Internet, Cable/Dish, or Phone (no cell phone bills)
  • Paycheck Stub
  • Vehicle Registration
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Bank Statement
  • Voter Registration
  • Warranty Deed
  • Active Military ID

Residents of the Retreat, Palomino, Village, and Gleneagles sub-associations may sign up for HRCA recreational facility usage for the additional per-quarter recreational assessment fee. Simply register at the HRCA Assessment Office, located in the Recreation Center at Eastridge. After registering, obtain your membership card from the membership office at any of the recreation centers. Questions? Call 303-471-8958.

Membership Card Barcode App Download

The mobile app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that allows you to store your membership card data for easy access when checking in to HRCA facilities.

The process is the same; however, the property owner will need to fill out and sign a Renter Information and Consent to Tenant Form.

Renters must present a copy of the lease which is signed by the owner and the Renter Information Consent to Tenant Form completed by the homeowner in order to receive a membership card. This relinquishes the homeowner's right to use the facilities.

Every HRCA resident in a household over the age of nine needs a membership card. All HRCA members must show their cards upon entering the HRCA recreation centers. Children eight and younger must be supervised by someone 12 years or older at all times and do not need a card to enter the facilities.

Your membership allows you to register for a program, purchase a pass or ticket, and to receive member discount rates.

For Homeowners, HRCA memberships are valid for a duration of 7 years after being issued. There is a $2 renewal fee for membership renewal.

For Renters, memberships are valid for the duration of the signed lease. There is a $2 renewal fee for a membership renewal if the old membership card is brought in.

Replacement cards are $8.

The HRCA welcomes members' guests to enjoy our rec centers with you. Please adhere to the following policies to ensure a positive experience for your guests and other members:

  • Members must register and pay for guests at the registration desk.
  • Limit four guests per member/household per day.
  • Guests under two years old may use the facility at no charge and must be directly supervised by a responsible party 12 years of age or older.
  • Guests must read the cardio/weight room guidelines before using the equipment.

Daily Guest Passes and Fees

  • Under 2 years – Free
  • 2-11 Years – $6
  • 12-17 Years – $7
  • 18-54 Years – $8
  • 55+ Years – $7
