Want to get involved? We have many opportunities to do something fun and meaningful to support your association and the community in which you live.
HRCA relies on volunteers for a diverse range of skills, experience and knowledge. Our volunteers include business leaders, community advocates, parents, teens, and other individuals who want to give back and support their community.
as members of our board of directors, district delegates, and committees
our variety of youth sports teams and inspire young athletes
to help Therapeutic Recreation staff provide programs for special needs
the Backcountry Wilderness Area by clearing brush, picking up trash, removing weeds, and patrolling trails
to the success of the Race Series by assisting with registration, setup, cleanup, water stations, and more
with their favorite community events by setting up, assisting during, and breaking down after
Volunteering with the HRCA is a great way to get more involved, meet new people, and have a great time! Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.

Douglas County residents ages 15 and up can perform court-ordered restitution for minor offenses with us. Tasks usually include event setup and clean-up. Some restrictions apply. Please call 303-471-8828 to confirm eligibility before registering to volunteer.

HRCA accepts high school students interested in fulfilling the required community service hours necessary for graduation. Students must be 15 and able to work unsupervised. Volunteers will be asked to help set up, work, and/or break down community events.
