Join the Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver on Wednesday, March 5, for an evening of chamber music. This intimate performance will feature a combination of flutes, harp, and piano, showcasing the rich tradition of chamber music—an art form that emphasizes close collaboration between musicians in a small ensemble. The light, lyrical qualities of these instruments perfectly capture the freshness and renewal of spring. The program will celebrate the season's arrival, with selections inspired by spring's beauty and the spirit of St. Patrick's Day.
Ticket information to come.
About Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver...
Now based in Highlands Ranch, the Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2021 with its first-ever residency in partnership with the Highlands Ranch Cultural Association, featuring performances and activities scheduled at the Wildcat Mountain Auditorium.
Since its formation in 2005, the Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver (CMSGD) has raised awareness and appreciation of chamber music through annual series of concerts that feature both contemporary and traditional compositions that celebrate the depth and diversity of repertoire written for chamber groups. CMSGD members serve as faculty at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music and Red Rocks Community College.
CMSGD has performed throughout the Denver Metro Region and in collaboration with the Cherry Creek Chorale, among others. Programs feature repertoire performed in a variety of small chamber ensembles - duos, trios, quintets, et. al. In 2022, CMSGD concerts will begin premiering new works by Colorado composers. As part of its comprehensive arts-integration program - designed and developed by Ms. Schulkind - CMSGD also holds local in-school concerts and has performed for students in Brazil and England.
